Vandever is the author of two novels The Bronte Project and American Tango as well as the forthcoming In Development. She co-wrote the feature film Just One Time and her scripts have won the PAGE International Screenwriting Competition in Comedy, shortlisted in the Nicholl's Fellowship, Sundance Lab and named "Best of the IWC 2024" by the Independent Writers Caucus. She's a graduate of Columbia University's MFA program and has written film criticism for The Village Voice.

 

Vandever teaches courses in Screenwriting, Screwball & Romantic Comedy, and Women in Film for Emerson College's Los Angeles program where she also served as its affiliated faculty union president from 2015-2023. In 2023 she was awarded the ELAF-AAUP award in recognition of leadership and service to ELA faculty and community.

 

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband.
